Hey that light switch trick might have been a good way to sneak out of a safety meeting, (of course after they've served breakfast) what do you think Eric.

Safety? What is this concept you speak of, this "safety"? It's a dance, isn't it?

Only if you don't have a hat.
You know that meeting where some over educated idiot bitches at you for an hour about how they're still getting too many logbook violations, and that you drivers need to learn to be more creative, and then you have to log the meeting and your travel time both ways.

Re: Daily Dilbert.
I guess I was smarter than the average bear in that regard. I figured out how to gin the book right away, cuz I didn't like having a golden DOT microscope shoved horizontally up my ass. I would beat the book to a point in space then take a nap and let it catch up if need be. Never got a ticket (a couple warnings for sure) about beating the clock from Huntington OR POE to the POE in WA on the 5 and never got hemmed up aywhere else in the lower 48. I must've been exceptionally lucky, but I also used the loose leaf system.AC8UN wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2019 5:13 pmOnly if you don't have a hat.

I also routinely beat the boss on the IFTA thing too, even with all the OR ton/mile taxes I racked up trying to go home to see momma. But then again, the boss was obsessed with lowest price, not miles run in a particular state.
These things made me the darling in the dispatch center.
