I saw that thread, apparently before it was sanitized for your protection. Looks like a coup is happening over yonder.
A Coup??!!

It used to be if someone flipped me off, it was on. Nowadays not so much. More like a compliment.

Should they be able to harass cops and civilians with no consequences?
Who is this "they" you are referring to? And under what context? Unless the first amendment means nothing... why does expressing it now rise to the level of a crime? On content?
Yeah, you guys can keep that particular brand of torture. Right there.
Reminds me of the first time I took the yl out trailer trucking right after her last round of chemo. Put her in the truck in Portland,OR and she didn't really wake up until Tifton, GA. She wanted to go in and use the can, and as soon as she opened the door she bolted back in and said "What in the inglorious fuck is that"?, referring to the humidity in.... June! Poor kid. Was never the same again I'm afraid.

Really? Pronoun games? "They" would be the citizens of Kentucky. The first amendment isn't anyone's whore or something to hide behind.
This is copied from the article you posted: The bill would make it a misdemeanor offense for someone to taunt "a law enforcement officer with offensive or derisive words, or by gestures or other physical contact, that would have a direct tendency to provoke a violent response from the perspective of a reasonable and prudent person."
I wouldn't want someone to treat you that way when you're at work, or anywhere else. If they did, would HR or the law allow it? If I put my hands on you it's called assault. I can't legally harass you either. I can't go around saying whatever I want without consequences. You made that clear when you questioned my use of "they." Have my rights been violated?
